Marco Island, FL – The Jared Grifoni for Marco Island City Council campaign announced yesterday, July 21, 2016 that Jared Grifoni is the first candidate to officially qualify for the November Marco Island City Council ballot. After submitting all the required documentation to Marco Island City Clerk Laura Litzan, and having 125 signed petitions verified by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections office, all criteria was satisfied. We plan to do more articles on the Marco Island City Council race in the near future.
Grifoni made the following statement after learning he had officially qualified to be on the November 2016 general election ballot:
“The level of support and enthusiasm for my campaign that I have experienced from the community has been amazing and encouraging. Since I declared my candidacy over two months ago I have had the pleasure of speaking with so many people in the community. We have so much common ground on this island and I will use that common ground to lay the foundation for a more united and prosperous Marco Island over the next four years.
It has been my intention from the start of this race to run a professional campaign with consistent outreach and availability to the community. The citizens of Marco Island deserve someone who will listen and work for their vote. What has been achieved so far is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the many volunteers and supporters who have been pounding pavement to help me be the first candidate to officially qualify for the November ballot for Marco Island City Council and I want to thank them for all they have done.
While we now know that the citizens of Marco Island will have a chance to vote for our message, a message of limited government, fiscal conservatism, and a more united and prosperous Marco Island this November, the hard work is just beginning. We will not be bogged down by the worn-out politics of division and old feuds that have so often gripped our community. We are going to fight for every vote on this island.”
