Rentrak Announces Official Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of November 23, 2014

Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT) announced today the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of Nov. 23, 2014, as compiled by the company’s theatrical measurement services. As the official standard for real-time worldwide box office reporting, Rentrak provides the only theater-level reporting in the world. Customers are able to analyze admissions and gross results around the world using Rentrak’s suite of products.

Rentrak’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, “The global phenomenon that is “The Hunger Games” continues with the latest installment “Mockingjay, Part 1,” launching in 85 International markets this weekend on 17,000 screens, this is the biggest day-and-date release of the year, and Lionsgate’s widest release ever. With an estimated international weekend total of $152 million plus the North American debut of $123 million the worldwide combined total is an impressive $275 million.”
